We are honoured to have this wedding featured on Style Me Pretty.
Dorothy and Eric resides in New Jersey but decided to celebrate their love story in Vancouver. They had always dreamed of having an intimate ceremony, surrounded by nature with their closest friends and family. The lush grounds of Queen Elizabeth Park provided the perfect backdrop to the outdoor wedding they were envisioning. The overall feeling of this wedding is romantic with a touch of modern. Monochromatic tones was the main focus with plenty of greenery and flowers being used.
With the abundance of green in the trees and grass, the decor for the ceremony needed to be something that stands out, yet complement the natural surroundings for their ceremony. The florist designed a breathtaking arch that was so full and lush that it looked like it was from a fairytale garden. All around the arch is filled with various kinds of cream toned flowers with a plethora of greenery. If you look carefully, you may be able to find a few real apples among the sea of flowers. To tie in with the design of the arch, a cream coloured bridal bouquet was created with the same romantic style.
After the ceremony, the couple had their reception at Seasons in the Park. With large windows and sunny weather, it provided the guests with a stunning view overlooking the city of Vancouver. As the couple wanted to bring more of the nature indoors, a floral chandelier was created.
To bring a touch of elegance and a modern flair, we incorporated gold finishes on the charger plates and the flatware. The stationery also incorporated a lot of clean lines and unique details to continue the monochromatic tones and modern elegance.
It was a beautiful day for their wedding and the intimate setting proved to the a wonderful fit for their family and friends. While many of our couples choose to have a dinner reception, it was refreshing for this wedding to have their reception in the afternoon. We are delighted to have been a part of this wedding. It was such a beautiful outdoor wedding and we wish D&E a very beautiful and blissful life together.
