Over the last few years, it seems like almost everyone is looking for that glowy skin. Skincare regimes, makeup products and techniques all to have that radiance on their face. But I think there is a glow that is even more sought after, one that is truly from within. For this editorial that we as Vancouver event designers designed and styled, that is what we wanted to showcase, a glow nurtured by love and happiness that seeps through and gives that person a special kind of beauty.
This editorial, lustred beauty, is an ode to the soft glow and gentle sheen in the beauty of a bride. We went with a European inspired apartment as the backdrop of the shoot, reminiscent of a bride getting ready just before her wedding.
For the bridal gown, we chose a breathtaking dress from Blammo-Biamo with a focal point in its off shoulder design that opens like a flower blooming. The fabric is satiny and the center deep V is sprinkled with just the right amount of pearls. With the elaborate top, we chose to omit jewelry and to keep the hair style in a clean and sleek look to allow the dress to shine.
For both the veil and glove, we chose ones that also included pearls in the design. Paired with the delicate tulle, it provided just enough accessory to the dress and overall style.
Some fun elements that we included in the editorial include the tiny pearls that the florist attached to the petals of the flowers. This gave it a beautifully whimsical look without overpowering anything else. We also included cake in this editorial for a fun and sweet touch. We always believe, a person glows the most when they are truly happy.
Overall, from the monochromatic tones of the florals, the pearl studded tulle gloves and veil, to the stunning bridal gown, we chose each element to complement and bring this lustre beauty to life.
