Although the celebration of being engaged is nothing new and has been going on for generations. It is becoming increasingly popular in the last few years. As Vancouver event planners, we love how there is a special time to celebrate this chapter. We believe that it can be such a beautiful and meaningful celebration to hold an engagement party in Vancouver or elsewhere.
A wedding proposal is a memorable and significant event in one’s life. Whether it is an intimate proposal with just the two of you, or a planned surprise proposal with lots of other people around, it marks the start of a special chapter in your life: engagement.
Not only in movies and tv shows, but in reality there is true warmth and happiness that can be heard from the quietest whisper to the loudest shout of “ I’m engaged!”. It is such a unique chapter where two people have made the decision to spend the rest of their lives together while also preparing for a special day to share with their loved ones.
Earlier this year, we had the honour of creating an engagement party design to celebrate the launch of two new beautiful David Roses: Enid and Phoebe. Using these roses as inspiration, we created two different engagement tablescapes that are both luxurious and timeless.
Peek inside this room and you’ll find yourself in an afternoon celebration. This is designed for those who want a relaxed elegant engagement party. In a sun room that allows plenty of warm light in, the green and white walls create an inviting space for an afternoon gathering. With Enid, the beautifully creamy coloured rose with a touch of pistachio, it is the perfect for those looking for a laid back and elegant afternoon celebration
Paired with the rose, we went with shades of yellows and also a hint of purple to give it a special touch. Instead of the traditional candlelight, we chose to use scalloped edged lamps, paired with the cut crystal glasses to make it more modern while still giving it a timeless look. Tying it all together with a deeper teal colored textured tablecloth, it gives the overall styling depth and allows the flowers to shine. There is also a special bar area on the side for you and your guests to try uniquely crafted drinks to toast the special occasion.
Step inside the drawing room and be transported to a beautiful soiree for the engaged couple. This is for the couple who wants to transport their guest to another time era where there are weekly balls and soirees to attend. An extravagant celebration where guests want to come dressed to impress.
And Phoebe, a richly coloured coral and pink rose, is definitely ready to impress as it shines amongst the elaborate setting. We paired this brightly coloured rose with darker florals and greenery to give it a deeper colour palette. For a romantic and opulent ambience, we added in tall candles in the same colour tone as the luxurious blue taffeta tablecloth. Not only does it give it a beautiful shine to the table scape, but also brightens up the colours for an overall vibrant design.
Two different engagement party designs in Vancouver, yet with the same timeless and elegant flair at the heart of it all. Which one will you choose for your engagement party? Contact us here if you would love to learn more about how we can assist in creating a pretty engagement party to celebrate!
