The Vancouver Club situated in the heart of Vancouver began all the way back from the late 1800’s. While it started as a gentleman’s club, it has changed through the years to be a private social club, and is now also a popular venue for weddings and events. As Vancouver wedding planners, it’s a delight for us to plan and design at this iconic wedding venue.

This venue is so special because of how beautiful it is both inside and out. The building itself is a heritage building and was designed to be like a classic British townhouse. In the middle of the financial district, this elegantly classic building is a beauty to behold. For couples who have a large number of out of town guests, this is a prime location where guests are able to find accommodations close by and also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the water. On the inside, there are multiple areas and rooms that suit different styles of design.
There is the classic grand ballroom which is big and spacious for those who are looking for that old world aesthetic and charm. There are rooms with European designs like the Georgian Room that are bright and airy. Of course one of the best features is that while there is the old charm and beauty, there are modern conveniences. Things like elevator access, air conditioning, and various other touches make it extra comfortable in this heritage building.

We love working at the venue for its beauty and charm, but also the staff here are incredible at what they do. They have wonderful service and always tries their best to accommodate what the couple would like for their special day. As a vendor, we also appreciate how well they communicate with us and work together as a team to help bring the wedding to life.

As we mentioned, there are a wide variety of spaces and rooms to host your ceremony or reception. For smaller weddings or events, you can choose to use the glass solarium which is full of sunlight and feels like the perfect afternoon spot. For weddings that are slightly larger, there is the Georgian Room, the University room and even the lobby area. For the Georgian and University rooms, the capacity ranges from 100-170 for seated ceremony and 40-80 people for reception, depending on which room you choose. If it is a larger wedding, then the Grand Ballroom will be a wonderful fit. This room can fit up to 200 people for reception.

This venue is for couples who love the old world or European architecture. It is also for those who love the convenience of its location while still having a private area for their ceremony. This venue is also unique in the fact that it has accommodations for the couple for the day of their wedding. This adds on to the convenience that many couples love as they can just go up to their room right after the celebrations that night.

An insider tip that we would give is to go for the buyout option at this location. This package allows for the most freedom and flexibility in terms of use of space and comfort. This will also provide a wonderful and exclusive experience for the guests to fully enjoy and celebrate the couple. Truly it will be a secret getaway in the middle of the city just for the couple and their guests.
There is also a limited number of rooms that are available for guests to book that act like hotel rooms. It’s a great option for the couple to stay on site.

Depending on your guest count, if you are a member at the club, and whether you plan to do the buyout, usually couples will spend a minimum of $850 per wedding guest for a Vancouver Club wedding.
