As wedding planners we love the location, the privacy and accommodation offered at Chateau Gassies. It also has multiple versatile areas that can be used for different types of wedding designs.
Chateau Gassies is about a 10-15 car drive away from the city center of Bordeaux and is easy access for guests. In terms of privacy, we love that there is only one wedding group on premise and it gives a true destination wedding feel for the couple and guests. The venue also has beautiful accommodations on property so the wedding guests can stay on site and spend time together with everyone.
What ceremony and reception spaces are available at this Chateau Gassies?
One of our favorite things when we visited the venue is the different areas that can be used for the wedding. For ceremony, couples can have it in at the iconic area in the entrance or another popular spot will be in the lush open area with trees. There are different areas and angles couples can choose for the ceremony.
For reception it can be held in the beautiful Charles X hall or if your guest count is of a more intimate size, it can be held in the Orangery.
The best element when we were going through the venue, is that there are dedicated rain plans which are beautiful and all the indoor event spaces have air conditioning. It’s always a nice touch when venues plan and consider both the weather and temperature as factors for weddings.

From our perspective as wedding planners, this wedding venue is best suited for couples who want a wedding weekend in France that offers a good amount of accommodation for guests. It is also great for couples, we want to get married at a Chateau that is close to a beautiful city in France that is not Paris.
